BMW Z8 Roadster (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11ZK57

The $128,000 car had an all aluminum chassis and body and sported a 4.9 L (4941 cc) 32-valve V8, that developed 400 hp (300 kW) and 500 N·m (370 ft·lbf) torque.  The engine was located behind the front axle in order to give the car 50/50 weight distribution.  The factory claimed a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 4.7 seconds but Motor Trend magazine achieved 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) in 4.2 seconds.  Its top speed was electronically limited to 155.4 mph (250 km/h), but its maximum top speed with an unlocked chip was 186 mph (299 km/h).

The precision engineered red die-cast replica is hand-painted, hand-polished and hand assembled from over 170 separate components.  The original price for this model was $120.00.  This is our last one, so get it now while you can, at a bargain price.

1966 Corvette Sting Ray Fiberglass Convertible  (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11E845

The Big Block party was all the rage in '66, as GM® dropped the powerful 427cid engine in the new Corvette®. Yet, the 327cid remained a stalwart, time-tested option. Open the hood of this awesome model and feast your eyes on the intricately detailed re-creation of the reliable 327. And it doesn't end there. Additional features include removable real cloth convertible top, hinged fuel cap door, complete complement of Vette emblems and genuine fiberglass body. Hand-painted in Mosport Green, it's the essential acquisition for sports car enthusiasts.

1966 was another banner year for Corvette®. This model year was the beginning of a Big Block legend that would last until 1969 and would not appear again under the hood of any Corvette® until the 2006 Z06 supercar was unveiled. In 1966, the 427 cubic inch engine was offered at two horsepower ratings--390 and the coveted L72 425. GM® originally rated this motor at 450 but later reduced it to 425 hp as an administrative change, with no changes being made to the engine itself. In the shadow of the new big block lay the faithful and time-tested 327 cubic inch engine, which continued to be the standard equipment motor in 1966.

Since 1962, this small block had been reliably pushing the Corvette® up and down the street and the strip and would continue to do so until 1969, when the 350 was introduced. Like the big block, the 327 engine was also offered in two horsepower ratings--300 being the standard base equipment engine, and for an additional $105.35 you could add the L79 350 horsepower option. While not being a 427, it fell somewhere in between and was not a bad compromise! With its lighter weight and equal compression rating, the L79 offered modest acceleration and performance that any Muscle Car enthusiast would love to have under foot. Add to this mid-sixties classic a convertible option and you had a true middle-of-the-road roadster. Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to offer a 1:24 scale, real fiberglass tribute to the 1966 Corvette® 327 Convertible.

1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C   (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11F070

Carroll Shelby's® dream car combined continental flair with race-track power. The result: what many consider the greatest contribution to the world of speed ever. Now, you can satisfy your own passion for speed by owning this model of Carroll Shelby's® masterpiece. Authentic detail, down to the 425hp engine under the hood. With its blue-and-gold paint scheme, it's a standout in any collection.

Shelby American offered eight color variations in the 427 S/C®s made and in all cases, dealers added racing stripes, often at the customer's request. This car, CSX3042, is regarded by many expert Cobra® collectors as one of the last 427 S/C®s sold, since it remained on the original dealer MSO into the 1970s before being sold to a private buyer. The CSX3042 is also regarded as one of the most original Cobras® in existence, faithfully preserved and maintained by Cobra® specialist, Ned Scudder. Today, this is the classic 427 S/C® against which all others are measured. With its trim and additional details that include the precisely styled headlights, it is among the rarest, most desirable S/Cs ever.

It is considered The Standard--the most perfectly restored Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® in existence. To learn how it achieved the very pinnacle of perfection, one must go back to the beginning--back to the Sizzling Sixties and the emergence of Carroll Shelby® as the world's leading practitioner of power and indisputable sultan of style.

For the true roadster aficionado, nothing has ever been built to compare to the Cobra®. Even to this day, the Shelby Cobra® stands out. This limited production sports car deserves its designation as an automotive classic because it demands your full attention. It looks great; it sounds mean; and it drives like a demon. In fact, it may well be the most powerful, the most attractive, and the most thrilling front-engine roadster ever manufactured for sale to the public.

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429  (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11E846

Say hello to the Boss of Bosses. Built for the track, the Boss 429 was born to tear up the streets. And with its whopping 429 V-8 engine, that's exactly what it did. Now, it's set to do the same to your collection. This precision-engineered replica has it all: distinctive grille and hood scoop, detailed undercarriage, fully instrumented dash, and the full monty of working features--doors that open and close, functional suspension, and steering and road wheels that turn. Big, bad, beautiful--Boss!

It was the king of the big blocks--The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429. The monster engine was originally designed for the racing circuits. Ford Motor Company first produced the car in 1969, each car being hand-assembled. From January through July 1969, a total of just 859 were produced. In 1970, you could have taken delivery of a brand-new 1970 Boss 429 for under $6,000. Today, the sky's the limit for these coveted and rare beauties. It's no wonder this car was assembled with such great pride by the people producing it--and who must have realized they were producing a run of exotic, sequentially numbered Fords that would one day become a great American classic.

Your Franklin Mint Precision Models 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Limited Edition is the ultimate re-creation of this ultimate factory street machine--one that you'll be more than proud to own and display.

1930 Cadillac V-16 LWB Imperial Sedan  (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11G307

Grand and expensive, the Long Wheelbase Sedan, often called the Imperial Limousine, was one of the most elegant designs to ever grace a General Motors automobile. Although more than 4,000 V-16-powered cars were produced in the roughly 10 years of production, the second World War would put an end to this grand line of V-16 cars.

Now, The Franklin Mint proudly presents the 1930 Cadillac V-16 LWB Imperial Sedan in stunning two-tone Royal Navy with silver-blue metallic accent. Powerful, elegant...and one of the finest American luxury cars of the pre-war era. Limited edition of only 1,500.

1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS, (1:18 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. V001121

It took quite some time until a 911 had the label "Carrera" put on its trunk. The first to get this honour was the 1972 911 Carrera RS 2.7, a sports car that reached a top speed of 240 km/h. His most recognizable features are the trunk lid with a spoiler mounted on top, also called duck tail and the wider mud guards.

The RS was an astonishing car in numerous ways; it was the first 911 to have different wheel dimensions in the front and rear; in the front the dimensions were 185/79 VR 15 on six inch wide rims, while in the rear they were 215/60 VR 15 on seven inch wide rims. From October 1974 onwards a more powerful 911 was introduced: the 911 Carrera RS 3.0 with a cubic capacity of 2994 ccm and 230 horse powers.

This was the first Porsche with a large rear wing and extra wide mud guards, which allowed him to be eligible for professional racing. Only a small number of the RS 3.0 (111) were built, since the regulations for the group 4 racing only allowed the construction of 100 cars at the most.  White die-cast model car by Minichamps.

1960 Chevrolet Corvair 50th Anniversary (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11G397

In October 2, 1959, Chevrolet® introduced its first Corvair™. It was a radical departure from what Americans were used to seeing come off the production lines. Its unique air-cooled, rear-mounted engine, rear-mounted transaxle drive, suspension system and compact size set it apart from the large "land yachts" that Detroit had been producing for so long. Although the car was only a little more than four feet high and just fifteen feet in length, it was built to seat six and was offered in both two-door coupe and four-door sedan models.

In February 1960 at the Chicago Auto Show, a sporty two-door club coupe Corvair™ was introduced as a show car--the Corvair™ Monza. The production version appeared within months. Based on the Corvair™ 700 Deluxe series, the Monza featured bucket seats (which now made it a 5-passenger car), optional sun roof and folding rear seat. It was available in a choice of three different interior trims and came with an array of amenities--from dual horns to exterior chrome molding. In all, 11,926 models of the 1960 Corvair™ Monza would be produced.

Named Motor Trend magazine's Car of the Year for 1960, the Corvair™ was a perhaps the most significant automobile of the postwar era--and the Monza was the sportiest of them all.

Now, in celebration of the 50-year anniversary since the launch of the Corvair™, this iconic engineering marvel is re-created in a precision-engineered 1:24 scale model--the 1960 Chevrolet® Corvair™ 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Authentic in every detail...from the horizontally-opposed engine block to the fin-less rear deck and grille-less front with the button-nose ornament...this authentic re-creation is as unique as the original. Hand-painted in two-toned red and white, your model features a tri-toned interior scheme, all combining to guarantee this die-cast masterpiece a place of pride in your treasured collection. Limited Edition of 1,500 Worldwide.

2008 Ford Shelby GT-500KR (1:24 Scale)
The Franklin Mint Model No. B11F687

During the late sixties, Carroll Shelby® pulled the trick of the year by introducing the 1968 Shelby GT-500™ King of the Road. Muscle Car enthusiasts thought they had seen it all. Forty years later, he did it again! In 2008 he did it all over again, introducing the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR™ - the fastest production Mustang to date! With its roots-type supercharger, it produces a staggering 540 horsepower and a bone-crushing 510 lb-ft of torque. The 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR™ was a brilliant collaboration between Carroll Shelby®, Shelby Automobiles, SVT Engineering and Ford Motor Company. The new King of the Road would not disappoint its namesake. Rather, it far exceeded its predecessor. The Roots-type supercharger and Ford Racing cold air intake atop the 5.4 liter V-8 engine would produce 540 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. This benchmark performance - coupled with features like front brake cooling vents, a Ford Racing strut tower brace, race-tuned suspension and luxury interior comforts - would move Shelby/Mustang loyalists to crown a new King! The Franklin Mint is proud to offer this 1:24 scale tribute to the Shelby/Mustang monarchy in vista blue with silver racing strips.   Limited Edition of 1,000.
