Powered Trucks for Corgi Die-cast Streetcars and Trolleys
Now you can easily install powered trucks on your Corgi die-cast Birney trolley or PCC streetcar so it will operate on Lionel, alternating current, (O-Gauge) three rail track, or O-Gauge, 2-rail track, for direct current powered models.
The powered truck unit is completely assembled and ready to install.
Installation is easy. Simply remove the headlight lens on each end of the Birney Trolley with a sharp knife or small screwdriver. Remove the screw under the lens. Drop the mechanism out. Slide body over new mechanism. Fasten with screws provided. Press the lens back in and it's ready to run on the track and give you many hours of pleasure.
Installation on the Corgi PCC Streetcar is even easier. Simply remove the two screws on the streetcar chassis. Drop the original unit out. Slide body over the new mechanism. Fasten with the two screws provided and it's ready for the live track.
NOTE: The new mechanism only powers the trucks. The overhead trolleys are still inoperable.
Kits that activate the trolleys for overhead wire power are available elsewhere for about $150.00 and up.
